She's.....BACK!!!!

Welcome Back, Tall Thing!
We're so glad the Terrible Thesis is over.
But now, amidst fortune cookies and an abundances of tummy kisses and flank pets, she tells us that the Magnificent Manuscript is next.

O Doots.

She ensures us, however, that the Magnificent Manuscript will not require as much flat computer time, but will instead involve her sitting on the floor in a pile of papers making difficult choices, swearing, and sometimes (if absolutely necessary) weeping in frustration. I offered to eat the papers that cause that reaction. Vincent offered to watch the flat computer for her while she does this. But I'm not convinced she's going to give it up that easily.

In any case, you can immediately tell she has come back to us by the fact that the Nice Clean Home that Other Tall Thing managed while she was away became the Big Cluttered Mess within about ten or twenty minutes of her return. Doesn't UN-packing involve putting things away? That's how it is when I unpack my cheek pouches.

In other news, Vincent used Tall Thing's departure as an excuse to make an absolute mess of his cage. I've never seen such disorganized chaos in a hamster.
